The WorkSource Vendor Network is a group of organizations approved to provide education and training services to its customers. These services are grouped into two program categories – Basic Skills and Occupational Skills Training. Customers who receive scholarships from The WorkSource to pay for these courses or programs must choose an accredited community college, university, and/or an approved Career School from the Texas Workforce Commission – Career Schools and Veterans Education from the network list. (For more information on scholarships, contact your Financial Aid Specialist for eligibility requirements.)
Basic Skills – is adult basic education, parenting classes, English as a Second Language, job readiness and general computer literacy training (ex: Microsoft Office Products).
Occupational Skills Training – Are courses or programs that will prepare an individual to a job specific occupation
(ex: Licensed Vocational Nurse, Plumbers, and Certified Nurse Aide.
